Horror legend Tony Todd’s “Master of the Universe” role called “unsettling and commanding!!”

Showrunner Kevin Smith hyped by Todd’s performance.

“Unsettling and commanding.” That is what Master of the Universe: Revelation showrunner Kevin Smith said about Tony Todd’s performance in his role as Scare Glow. Todd has tweeted a thank you to Kevin Smith for giving him the role, to which Smith responded with the following:

According to Smith, most of the voice cast have already recorded their lines and he can’t wait to excite the fans. The “Masters” stellar cast includes Mark Hamill as Skeletor, Lena Headey as Evil-Lyn, Sarah Michelle Geller as Teela, Stephen Root as Cringer/Battle-Cat, and Chris Wood as He-Man. Original He-Man and the Masters of the Universe voice actor Allen Oppenheimer returns to the series as Mer-Man.

Tony Todd is not only known for his iconic role as the Candyman, but his deep voice which he has lent to several voice over roles in shows including Transformers Prime (Dreadwing), Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (The Fallen), Batman: Brave and the Bold (Astaroth), CW’s The Flash (Zoom), and DC animated films as Darkseid.

Scare Glow appeared briefly in the original Master of the Universe series and was one of the last figures produced for Mattel’s toyline that inspired the show. Masters of the Universe: Revelation is a sequel to the 1980’s original series and is set to premiere on Netflix in 2021.
