The Humble Indie Bundle 8

Pay what you want. Support charity. Get cross-platform, DRM-free games

The people behind the Humble Indie Bundle have been doing this for a long time now. Selling a single package of fun and unique games made by up and coming developers at a name-your-own-price value. One of the coolest and most addictive games I’ve ever played was actually featured in the 4th bundle a few years ago. It was called Hammerfight. So although I haven’t purchased this new one, you never know what gems you’re going to get.

Another great part about this is that you get to choose how your purchase is divided: between the developers, the Child’s Play Charity, or the Electronic Frontier Foundation

So check out these videos :

The Humble Bundle 8 Intro:

And 3 individual game trailers that I found most attractive
First, “Proteus”. A unique 8-Bit dreamland in which to explore and discover secrets.

Second, “Intrusion 2”
Looks like Metal Slug, but with a physics engine and steroids.

And then there’s “Dear Esther”
And after seeing this one I thought, “I think I’m going to have to purchase this now.”

And if you like what you play, a tip the developers is always a nice way to keep future bundles coming, and show appreciation for the work that went into these games.
