What’s happening Gamers! DevilDriver1313 here with the newest info from the digital world! Many of us were excited when Insomniac Games, the developers behind the Spider-Man game series, announced that they’ll be tackling everyone’s favorite feral mutant in their next project. Just as with our Friendly Neighborhood “Webhead”, they did not disappoint. This gameplay trailer for the upcoming Wolverine game looks absolutely stunning. Get ready to unleash your fury as you take on the role of Weapon-X as you tear through cybernetically enhanced soldiers who are rounding up mutants and taking to parts unknown. The game truly taps into what makes Wolverine such as likeable character. He attacks with speed and brutality, tearing through mercs like tin foil like an animal. One of the features that I noticed is a meter that builds as he takes out enemies which, when filled, unlocks his Berserker Rage. In this state, Wolverine attacks with more ferocity and greater strength. This meter can also be used to heal his injuries as long as it’s available.
However, Wolverine is not alone in this fight. His fellow X-Man the powerful telepath Jean Grey joins him and their teamwork is outstanding. Jean will hold enemies in place while Wolverine cuts them to ribbons. Just like the Spider-Man games that preceded it, we are getting cameos from other characters from the X-Men universe including Omega Red, Mystique and Wolvie’s old pal Sabertooth. Speaking of the “Wall-Crawler,” this game is does share Spider-Man’s universe. Liam McIntyre (Weather Wizard in CW’s Flash, Captain Boomerang in DC animation) channels all his anger and rage as Wolverine.
After watching this trailer, I am looking forward to this game! I cannot wait!
