It’s about time! For a long time, Batman and Superman have been getting the spotlight, leaving some DC fans wondering when the Amazon will get her shot. There have been attempts before to bring Wonder Woman’s adventures to big and small screen. It has been more that 30 years since Linda Carter donned the crown and golden bracelets to portray Diana in the 1970’s series. Since then, nothing has been to give the warrior maiden the spotlight other than a guess spot on Superman: The Animated Series and both animated Justice League series while she is present in the current Young Justice series in a recurring role along with the other League members.

Amy Manson (Torchwood, Being Human) is sought after for the role
The CW series titled Amazon will take place in Diana of Themyscira’s early years, much like what Smallville did with the Superman character. Scottish born lassie Amy Manson might be taking on the action-packed role. We should probably mention nothing has been confirmed yet, nonetheless sources close to the production have stated Manson has been called back for multiple auditions. She is no stranger to television and has a few roles in British television, most notably “Torchwood” and “Being Human.” There has been talk within the CW about a Arrow-Amazon crossover, however this is unconfirmed. At the moment details on Amazon are scarce, although only recently The CW president, Mark Pedowitz, reiterated his desire to get the DC reboot going as soon as possible. With the success of Arrow, there is little doubt that the CW can pull this off. Hmm, a crossover… sounds intriguing.
