“Avengers 2” villian announced and other big reveals from Marvel!!

The announcement about Batman and Superman teaming up for a future was well received but comic fans rejoiced at the announcement of the next baddie for the “Avengers” sequel. At the end of last year’s “Third Highest Grossing Film of All Time”, we got a treat at seeing Thanos mid way thought the credits. Over the weekend at Comic-Con International, Marvel kicked things off by having Tom Hiddleston in character as Loki address the crowd, even telling one fan to kneel. Video was introduced that revealed the rounded surface of something that could possibly be Iron Man’s helmet or Captain America’s shield. But no, the camera pulls back to reveal the villain for the “Avengers” sequel–Ultron. As you all know, Ultron is an artificial intelligence created by the original Ant-Man, Dr. Henry Pym. Whether we’ll see Ant-Man in the sequel has yet to be divulged.

Other reveals included the cast of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” taking the stage which included Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlet Johansson, Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie. The sequel will feature Sebatian Stan as James “Bucky” Barnes and Anthony Mackie as Falcon. Acting legend Robert Redford has also been cast. Another X-Men film was also mentioned. “X-Men: Days of Future Past” is set to begin pre-production soon. Cast members Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Anna Paquin, Halle Berry, Ian McKellan, Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Peter Dinklage entered the room full of roaring fans overjoyed by the announcement. Hopefully this will rejuvenate the franchise again.
