Daisy’s new outfit closely resembles her comic book appearance
A man named Joey with powers is pursued by military forces until Skye, now Daisy, Mac and Hunter rescue him, taking him aboard a SHIELD jet which then takes him to a facility. Coulson investigates a mysterious woman who has been tracking down other Inhumans. Daisy and Mac speak with Joey and tell him about the powers he is developing. Daisy is forced to subdue Joey when he becomes extremely anxious. Coulson talks with Bobbi about the monolith that absorbed Simmons and Fitz’s whereabouts. He orders that Fitz return to base. Bobbi calls Fitz who is still investigating leads to free Simmons from the alien monolith. In Morocco, he is taken to a man named Yusef who may have something that will help him. Back at the base, Daisy suggests they bring in Lincoln to help with Joey who is having a hard time coping with his unintentional new life. Meanwhile, with Bobbi’s help, Coulson tracks down the woman hunting down Inhumans but the woman, Rosalind, was ready for him. Daisy and Mac track Lincoln to the hospital he works at. Lincoln is quick to refuse to go with them. Just then, they are attacked by strange creature. Lincoln, Mac and Daisy attempt to subdue the creature but it is stronger than expected. The creature escapes. So do Daisy and Mac. Word of the incident reaches Coulson and Rosalind. Rosalind takes her calls in the next car. She returns to discover that Coulson and Hunter have escaped. At the base, Coulson finally speaks with Fitz who has been chasing dead leads and tries to convince him that Simmons may be gone for good. Unwilling to accept this, Fitz goes to the monolith. He then begins pounding on it, raging his grief.

The powerful Inhuman Lash makes a big entrance into the third season premiere. He is portrayed by former NFL offensive tackle Matt Willig.
Coulson and his team return in a big way! Skye has dropped her pseudo name and taken up her birth name Daisy. She clearly has gotten full control over her powers as she now able to pinpoint her quake abilities. The series has taken two seasons to develop Skye/Daisy’s character but that wait has seemingly come full circle and she is becoming a pinnacle asset to the series. A new threat confronts the team in the form of a mysterious organization that has been hunting down Inhumans. Constance Zimmer portrays Rosalind Price, a woman who is very much Coulson’s equal when it comes to acquiring intelligence. She knows a lot about him and how he thinks. This will truly be a “Spy vs. Spy” concept. And what’s more, Fitz finally finds his nards! He goes on a solo mission to hunt down any information that may help save Simmons which eventually leads him to Morocco where he meets a man named Yusef who has what he needs. Of course, Fitz is taking hostage by the blackmarket dealer’s thugs but, unlike before, he is not so helpless. It was great seeing Fitz man up to Yusef and lay down the law. He even has an escape plan devised whereas before, he would’ve been easily flustered. Kudos to Leo for finding his courage but it was all for naught. Coulson has him come to the realization that Jemma Simmons is gone. Oh and Phil does mention that Fitz is upset over the incident at Pym Technologies, thus referencing “Ant-Man”. Angry and heartbroken, Fitz rages at the monolith, distraught over Simmons’ apparent death. However, unknown to him, Jemma is alive but trapped in an alternate dimension. Where in the heck is she? The series must’ve gotten a boost from the box office sales of “Age of Ultron” and “Ant-Man” because they introduce a familiar Inhuman character—Lash. According his backstory, Lash, portrayed by former NFL offensive tackle Matt Willig, played a key role after the release of the Terrigen Mists around the globe at the conclusion of the “Infinity” storyline. So now you got the tone for the season. Most of Lash’s abilities remain intact such as his ability to absorb and redirect energy but we know how Joss and Jed Whedon work. Lash will go through subtle changes to keep fans guessing. If this third season premiere shows anything, it is that the series is upping its game and ready to dig into its bag of tricks.
