That is the intro of Infinity Dragonfly, a science fiction drama that immediately puts the reader in the front seat to adventure.
The key players in this story are:
“Captain Kang McAlmatov, a Martian war veteran and part of the noble Yakuza martial fellowship, who has been given command of the Dragonfly – a retro-fitted colonyship, now a fully-equipped ship of war. The AEsynja Empire is expanding aggressively and every ship counts.
“Professor Eleanor Gainsborough, a Sufi psychologist and parapsychic empath, accompanies McAlmatov on a hyperphase test run from Mars to Pluto. The sudden appearance of a pirate ship takes them by surprise – as does its passenger…
“Sergeant Taner Demetriou of the Interplanetary Rangers, an ursoid soldier with disturbing news…”
This title works on several levels – it is a sprawling space opera, a suspenseful cloak and dagger story, and an intimate psychological tale.
Part of what makes this book interesting is that the images were all created by free 2D and 3D software. There are those who cry foul that a computer was used to design a comic book but it should be viewed as just another tool at the creator’s disposal.
