Well, boils and ghouls! A new chapter opens on the storied Belmont legacy!
The gory and gothic adventures of the Castlevania franchise continue with an exciting new setting and their highest stakes yet. A gripping story of love and loss, Nocturne marks an evolution to the original fan favorite Castlevania Netflix Series. Featuring a never-before-seen origin story of Richter Belmont (gaming icon, and one of the Franchise’s most beloved characters).
Join Richter on his quest of self-discovery in Castlevania: Nocturne when it begins streaming September 28 on Netflix!
So, right off the bat, the new Castlevania series will focus on Richter Belmont; however, it is a look into his origin meaning that it is set before the events of Rondo of Blood (Dracula X in US) and Symphony of the Night, which means Alucard making an appearance is very unlikely. The trailer features, obviously, Richter as well as Maria Reanard, a distant Belmont relative (whose abilities likely come from Sypha Belnades) and of course, new vampires. It’s too early to say whether there will be refences to Trevor Belmont since the link to him is through Alucard and this is a prequel series to those games. Nevertheless, I am excited for this next chapter and will hold hope for a series centered on Simon Belmont.
