The popular magical girl series from the early 2000s looks to return in a new format. Manga illustrator Madoka Seisuki began posting pictures of her illustrations of the new cast for her new project Tokyo Mew Mew Au Lait! on her official Twitter account. This is expected to be a spinoff of Tokyo Mew Mew, the magical girl manga created by writer Reiko Yoshida and illustrated by Mia Ikumi.
Tokyo Mew Mew Au Lait! will feature an all male cast whereas the original series featured a female quintet and is based on Kodansha’s original. The series will begin serialization in Nakayoshi’s January 2020 issue set to be released in Japan on November 30.
