FORECASTING SPOILERS!!

Barry investigates an attack at the coroner’s office where the coroner was apparently killed by hail. Eddie finds the office’s recorder and plays it. Joe recognizes the voice as the brother of Clyde Mardon, Mark Mardon. At Star Labs, Wells determine that both Mardon brothers acquired weather controlling abilities. While they were are in Joe’s car, Barry talks with Joe about his feelings toward Iris. Mardon attacks them with lightning but Barry is able to get Joe to safety just the bolt strikes. Iris is assigned to investigate Harrison Wells when her editor links him to the disappearance of Simon Stagg. She asks Barry about Wells but he is quick to defend him. Barry tells Caitlin and Cisco about Iris which is quickly dismissed. However, Cisco asks Joe about his suspicions of Wells killing Barry’s mother. Joe leaves the matter alone. As he leaves, Cisco spots Mark Mardon as he walks into the police station. Mark decimates the station and then fires a lightning bolt at Joe. But the captain knocks him out of the way, taking the bolt himself. Barry rushes the captain to the hospital. Angry and upset, Joe tells Barry to watch over Iris while he goes after Mardon. Joe runs into Eddie at Mark’s apartment. A storm suddenly brews and Joe is pulled through the window. Elsewhere, Caitlin keeps Wells busy at the diner while Cisco investigates the containment unit. Later, Wells arrives back at the lab and kills Cisco. Mark Mardon kidnaps Joe West and creates a tsunami to level Central City. Flash runs around the entire perimeter of the city in an attempt to stop the tsunami. While he is running, Barry sees another speedster—the Flash.

Did you see that, man?! The Flash keeps getting better and better! The best kind of betrayal is the one where you get close to people, become their friend, act like an innocent baby and then stab them in the back with a blazing sword of hellfire wrapped in barbed wire and pour salt and vinegar in the wound—slowly. Early on, the reveal that Wells has information about the future immediately struck a chord with fans of his being Reverse Flash/Professor Zoom. Since then we have been wanting to see this come to fruition. We were not disappointed. Wells finally reveals his true nature to Caitlin and Cisco. Cisco, showing distrust in Wells, investigates the failure of the containment unit and discovers that an image of the Man in the Yellow Suit was embedded in the containment field. Harrison rushes back to Star Labs and reveals himself to be Eobard Thawne. Yes, finally! He says it! So now I can do this—Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne ought to get an Oscar for playing the part of the butt hurt scientist seeking redemption for his experiments. Sorry but Frankenstein couldn’t get break and neither will you, Wells.
The reveals keep coming with Barry finally showing Iris that he is the Flash. When Mark Mardon aka Weather Wizard returns to Central City to avenge his brother Clyde, who was killed by Joe West way back in the season premiere, Barry is forced to reveal his identity to Iris along with his true feelings toward her when Mardon sends tidal wave toward Central City. It was inevitable that Barry and Iris would get together again. They tried playing it off since Barry’s life as the Flash was becoming more dangerous. Iris and Barry could not keep their feelings toward each other secret while they were on a double date with Eddie Thawne and Linda, who was dating Barry. This could be what sparks the feud between the Thawnes and the Allens. But wait, something else cool happens. While zipping across the coast to stop Mardon’s tsunami, Barry creates a time warp that sends back to a year ago when the particle accelerator exploded. Yup, Barry gets a do over on his life over the past year. But what effects will this have on the future? Could we finally see Caitlin Snow as Killer Frost and Cisco as Vibe?
