After much speculation, after so much wait, Warner Bros had finally dropped a teaser trailer for the long awaited third installment of Gremlins. Nothing much is shown other our favorite little Mogwai, Gizmo, hiding in a backpack. From the looks of things, the film seemingly is keeping it traditional by utilizing the puppetry that was used in the previous films. 2024’s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the sequel to the 1988 Tim Burton classic comedy film, stayed true its roots of using puppetry and practical effects. Therefore, the same should be done with Gremlins. The trailer looks adorable. Gizmo looks cute as ever. I cannot wait to see what else is in store for this film. Alas, we have to pack our patience since Gremlins 3 has been delayed to 2028 and that’s okay. It’s better than the stunt Warner Bros pulled with Coyote vs. ACME. In the meantime, I will be looking forward to what comes next. Hopefully, Warner Bros learned their lesson and don’t do anything to piss off the fan anymore.
Gremlins 3 is planned for October 6, 2028.
