The first Attack on Titan game was incredibly amazing at capturing and recreating key moments on the anime’s first season. The best part of the game was the 3D maneuvering gear you used to fly through the air and slay down Titans. That was all fun and dandy, however, to get closer to the experience of the fear experience in the anime, the Titans’ tactics have been ramped up. Instead of just lumbering around, waiting for an easy kill, the Titans will now put a better fight to save their necks. Before, it was easy to latch your hooks into a one of these humanoid behemoths and fly around until their nape is exposed, all while your target stands there practically motionless. Well, you can forget all that. In Koei Tecmo’s sequel, taking down the Titans will not be so easy. The Titans will now actively swat at you, grab hold of the wires of your maneuvering gear and yank you in close. They’ll even jump up at you like a cat going for a bird or pull off sneak attacks. These new features will surely make the Titans more fearsome. In the Titan Reveal trailer, we get glimpses of the Armor Titan and Ymir in Titan form. This could suggest that they will be featured in the game same as Eren in his Attack Titan form.

There are a some new features in “Attack on Titan 2”, which include changes to the story mode and multiplayer. In the story mode, no longer will you be limited to living out the experiences of the main cast (Eren, Mikasa, Captain Levi and so forth). Now there is the option of playing as an original character simply called “Our Man”, although this character can be male or female. This adds the concept of customization, granting players the ability to create their own character. What’s more interesting is that Our Man will see the Attack on Titan world from the background position, meaning that their actions are indirect to the main story. In fact, Our Man can break off and take on missions that occur elsewhere. Multiplayer will definitely be a welcome addition to the sequel. Online players can compete to take down as many Titans as possible and can even steal kills from other players. The use of smoke bombs and other tactics to inhibit other competitors is also permitted. With these new additions, the sequel is stepping up and giving fans of the anime the proper experience they wanted. You can continue the fight for humanity’s survival when Attack on Titan 2 launches for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on March 20, 2018.
