This Christmas weekend marks the return of “the world’s most fiercely extreme asian fusion festival” . The Asian Karaoke Idol Invitational (TAKII for short) is back for it’s 16th installment, titled Cho-ho-ho-cobo. For those who don’t know what TAKII is, The Asian Karaoke Idol Invitational is the world’s most extreme Asian music/gaming festival held twice a year in Philadelphia. Created by Damien “D-Chan” Christopher, TAKII has been around for over 6 years, celebrating over 15 seasons with many dedicated fans.
Season 16 is aiming to take the TAKII experience higher than ever before with new installments to the festival. This year will feature a Moe Maid Cafe, the very first of it’s kind at TAKII and in Philadelphia, which will provide one of a kind maid café that is affordable, family friendly and every otaku fantasy. Also, this year will feature a slew of new acts to the Makenai Concert which includes the Philly debut of the acclaimed J-Rock band The Asterplace, +2 Comedy, Manly Battleships, and more!!!
