
Sad news in the acting world, people. Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan, who has appeared in Jurassic World, The Amazing Spider-Man and Slumdog Millionaire, has passed away after a long battle with a rare type of colon cancer. He was 53. Khan’s friend and Piku director Shoojit Sircar tweeted about his passing.
My dear friend Irfaan. You fought and fought and fought. I will always be proud of you.. we shall meet again.. condolences to Sutapa and Babil.. you too fought, Sutapa you gave everything possible in this fight. Peace and Om shanti. Irfaan Khan salute.

Irrfan Khan is known for his primary work in Hindi cinema. He made his acting debut the 1998 film Salaam Bay. After years of struggle, he had his breakthrough with starring roles in the dramas Haasil (2003) and Maqbool (2004) after starring the 2001 British film The Warrior. Khan made his way to Hollywood with supporting roles in The Amazing Spider-Man (2012), Life of Pi (2012), Jurassic World (2015), and Inferno (2016). His final appearance was in Angrezi Medium (2020), the sequel film to the 2017 Hindi film Hindi Medium, in which he won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor.
