Sequel to stormy “1996” classic film blow into theaters this Summer!!

I remember seeing the trailer for Twister advertised on TV in 1996 and thought, “This looks interesting.” Went to the theater, saw it and (for the lack of a better term) was blown away. It was an awesome movie and I have been hoping that another one would be done. Well, Universal Pictures delivered!

After nearly 30 years, the stormy classic film is getting new life. Twisters serves as the sequel to the original film that starred Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton and centers on a former storm chaser haunted by a devastating encounter with a tornado during her college years who now studies storm patterns on screens safely in New York City. She is lured back to the open plains by her friend to test a groundbreaking new tracking system. There, she crosses paths with the charming and reckless social-media superstar who thrives on posting his storm-chasing adventures with his raucous crew, the more dangerous the better. As storm season intensifies, terrifying phenomena never seen before are unleashed and their competing teams find themselves squarely in the paths of multiple storm systems converging over central Oklahoma in the fight of their lives. The film stars Daisy Edgar-Jones, Glen Powell, Anthony Ramos, Brandon Perea, Daryl McCormack, Sasha Lane, Kiernan Shipka, Nik Dodani, and Maura Tierney.

Twisters storms into theaters July 19!
