Aniplex of America began streaming the English subtitle trailer for the anime film Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl. The film, which is an adaption of the light novel series Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai (Seishun Buta Yarō wa Banī Gāru Senpai no Yume o Minai) written by Hajime Kamoshida and illustrated by Keeji Mizoguchi, will be screened in theaters in North America on October 2 & 3, and in Canada on October 5 & 6. The film originally released in Japan on June 15.
Plot: In Fujisawa, Sakuta Azusagawa is in his second year of high school. He enjoys his great days with Mai Sakurajima, who is both Sakuta’s girlfriend and upperclasswoman. However, their peaceful lives are interrupted by the appearance of Sakuta’s first crush, Shoko Makinohara. For some reasons, Sakuta encounters two Shokos — one is in middle school, the other has become an adult. While Sakuta finds himself helplessly living with the two Shokos, the adult Shoko plays him around, shifting his relationship with Mai into embarrassment. Among all of these, Sakuta finds out that the middle school Shoko is suffering from a grave illness, which forces his scar to throb.
