For over three decades, the Transformers have become near and dear to the hearts of everyone who loves giant robots. Their story is one of the best known tales in animated history and geek culture.
A story that still continues.
Netflix has rolled out the trailer for their upcoming series, Transformers: War for Cybertron – Seige. The series is based on the currently running toyline from Hasbro, not the video game series created by High Moon Studios. It will be produced by Rooster Teeth alongside Polygon Studios and AllSpark Animation, Hasbro’s production studio. F. J. DeSanto will return as showrunner while George Krstic, Gavin Hignight and Brandon M. Easton will contribute as writers. DeSanto was the showrunner for the previous series, Transformers: Prime Wars trilogy that ran in 2018 and was produced by Machinima, which closed in February 2019.
Transformers: War for Cybertron – Seige will have a six-episode run this year. Netflix has announced two more series will follow, one of which is Transformers: War for Cybertron – Earthrise.
