What’s up, J1 Fans! DevilDriver1313 here! Well, it looks like Netflix is getting the ball rolling with production on the fourth season of the popular original anime series Castlevania. VA Alejandra Reynoso, who portrays Sypha Belnades, confirmed with CBR that production is underway. Netflix has plans to premiere the fourth season in March 2021. However, if things do not go as planned, it will be postponed until 2022.

Netflix’s Castlevania is loosely based on the video game Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1989. It follows vampire hunter Trevor Belmont, magic wielder Sypha Belnades and Dracula’s dhampir son Adrian Alucard Tepes as they battle against Count Dracula and his horde to prevent the slaughter of the people of Walachia. The series stars Richard Armitage as Trevor Belmont, Alejandra Reynoso as Sypha Belnades, James Callis as Alucard, Theo James as Hector, Adetokumboh M’Cormack as Isaac, Jaime Murray as Carmilla, Jessica Brown Findlay as Lenore, Bill Nighy as St. Germain, Jason Isaacs as The Judge and Rila Fukushima as Sumi. Castlevania’s second and third seasons borrowed elements and characters from the 2005 game Castlevania: Curse of Darkness. All three seasons are currently streaming on Netflix.
