Like a “little” gaming? Sega introduces the Game Gear Micro!!

What’s up Gamers and Gamettes! Thank you for joining me, DevilDriver1313, “On the NXT LVL!”

Now we all like a little gaming, you know, getting a few extra points or hitting that latest boss one more time. But it seems that Sega has taken that expression and is ready to present in literal form. Following the recent trend of making smaller versions of classic game consoles, the “Home of Sonic” has unveiled the Game Gear Micro, and it is just as its name implies. The smaller version of Sega’s classic handheld system is now a finger held piece of 90s childhood memories. The Game Gear Micro is 40% the size of the original, coming in at 80mm wide, 43mm tall, and 20mm deep. This tiny Game Gear comes in four colors each with their own preloaded classic titles.

The Black version comes with Sonic the Hedgehog, Puyo Puyo Tsu, Out Run, and Royal Stone.

Blue has Sonic & Tails, Gunstar Heroes, Sylvan Tale, and Baku Baku Animal.

Say “hello” in Yellow to Shining Force, Shining Force II, Shining Force: Final Conflict, and Nazo Puyo: Arle no Roux.

And enough said in Red with Megami Tensei Gaiden: Last Bible, Megami Tensei Gaiden: Last Bible Special, The G.G. Shinobi, and Columns.

So if you want to get your hands on this “little” piece of gaming history, each system retails for $46. However, you can bundle them together for $276. Doing so will net you the Sega Big Window accessory to boost the size of the screen. It will be available in Japan on October 6.

Hmm, I wonder how long it will be before Nintendo comes out with the “Game Boy Midget?”
