I have enjoyed the Planet of the Apes series since it got rebooted in 2011 and glad to see that it did not befall the curse of so many other reboots. This franchise is proof that a remake can be successful when done correctly and it looks to continue the trend with a long-awaited new installment.
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is set several generations after the events of War for the Planet of the Apes (2017) with many ape clans have emerged in the oasis to which Caesar led his fellow apes, while humans have regressed into a feral state. When the ape leader Proximus Caesar perverts the teachings of Caesar to enslave other clans in search of the last traces of a secret human technology, the ape Noa embarks on a journey to find freedom alongside a young human woman named Mae.
A new generation of primal evolution begins May 24, 2024.
