After much speculation and questioning from fans, Johnny Yong Bosch confirmed via Twitter that he is the new voice actor behind the Broly, the legendary Super Saiyan of the Dragon Ball franchise. It is unknown which medium of the Akira Toriyama franchise he will be featured in, but he did confirm with his fans that he spoke briefly with Vic Mignogna who gave Bosch his blessing, stating in an interview that he “is glad that it’s him [Bosch].”
Johnny Yong Bosch has an extensive list of voicing characters in anime including Artemis in Sailor Moon Crystal, Sasori in Naruto Shippuden, Ichigo Kurasaki in Bleach, Giyu Tomiyoka in Demon Slayer, Vash the Stampede in Trigun and Brock in Pokémon Origins. He has also had several roles in video games including Bumblebee in High Moon Studios’ Transformers games, Nero in Devil May Cry 4 and Devil May Cry 5 (as well as motion capture), Yang in Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, Zero from the MegaMan X franchise, and Kung Jin in Mortal Kombat X.
Johnny will be best remembered portraying Adam Park, the second Black Power Ranger and later, the Green Zeo Ranger and first Green Turbo Ranger in the Power Rangers franchise.
