The team locates one of the singularity breaches in the lab and Jay creates a device that stabilizes it and allows him to return home, but he chooses to stay to help Barry stop Zoom. Meanwhile, Lisa Snart shows up asking for Flash’s help in rescuing her brother Leonard, who was kidnapped. Barry tracks down Leonard, who reveals that he was not kidnapped but is working with his father Lewis. Lisa swears that Leonard would never work with their father willingly, because their father was abusive toward her when she was a child. Eventually, the team determines that he placed a bomb inside of Lisa and threatened to kill her if Leonard did not help him steal some diamonds. Barry infiltrates Lewis’ crew with assistance from Leonard. Cisco successfully removes the bomb from Lisa, so Leonard uses his cold gun to kill his father in retaliation. Dr. Stein’s condition continues to deteriorate, and Dr. Harrison Wells arrives through the singularity breach at the lab.

It’s all in the family in this episode the Flash emotions that will tug at the heartstrings. John West ex wife arrives in central city wanting to see Iris after 20 years of absence. This is tough on Joe considering that his ex wife was a drug addict and she was not fit enough to take care of Iris. To protect his daughter, Joe sent his wife away to keep Iris from following the same path. It had been hard for him, keeping the secret for two decades. Taking advice from Barry, Joe decides to tell Iris the truth even though he is deathly afraid that she’ll come to hate him for lying to her for so long. What happened next is a profound moment. Through teary eyes, Joe tells
Iris the truth about her mother. And you feel that remorse, that regret, that sorrow that Joe has been a harboring for so many years and it all comes out in one heart wrenching below. Honestly, I found myself tearing up a little over this because that emotion is conveyed so well. Luckily in the end, Iris does forgive her father knowing that he did what he had done to protect her. And she is grateful.

What if the big bad wolf wasn’t so bad? Leonard has shown that he loves to steal and that he loves money a lot of money. But the one thing that you loves more than any of this is his sister Lisa. And as her big brother his job is to protect her from anyone that is willing to harm her even if that person is their father. Leonard and Lisa had a tough childhood with their abusive father Lewis who is a criminal without a care. Lewis will kill anyone who proves or becomes useless to him, even his daughter. He had planted a small thermite bomb in Lisa which forces Leonard to work with his father despite his deep rooted hatred towards him. This could illustrate the possibility that Leonard Snart did not choose this life but rather he was forced into it because of the dark shroud of his father looming over him. What could emphasis this is the fact that his felt remorse when Lewis shoots Barry, who infiltrated Lewis’s crew, after he had disabled the security lock, and again when he hesitates in killing the Flash on the orders of his father. Leonard had to believe that Barry’s friends could save his sister. Once he got word that Lisa was safe, he wasted no time killing his father for threatening the one person he loved the most. Of course this breaks the deal he had with Barry and he is sent to Iron Heights. Barry visits Leonard and tells him that he can be more they just a criminal. For a moment, it seemed that Captain Cold considered the idea, but only for a moment. Not a bad set up for Legends of Tomorrow, eh?
