Defenders Episode 3: Revelations Pt. 2 Chapter 5

Guardian walks out of the hole in the wall and looks at him, and he sees that he is knocked out. The blonde haired guy looks at Guardian in astonishment; he is surprised that the powerful Boa has been defeated. Guardian then looks over at the blonde haired guy who is still holding Sarah captive and he begins to walk towards him. The blonde haired guy watches as Guardian approaches him. Out of fear and desperation, he takes out a switch blade and holds it to Sarah’s throat. “That’s far enough, hero. Take another step closer and I’ll slice your girlfriend’s pretty little face,” he said holding the knife firmly against her neck.

“You don’t want to do this,” Guardian said as he continued walk toward him. Then the blonde haired guy clutches Sarah harder and points the tip of the knife at her neck. Guardian stops walking in concern for Sarah’s safety. “Just let her go. The first choice is still open. Take it or leave it,” he said.

“Don’t think so. You’re gonna let us walk out of here and I get to show your girlfriend a good time,” the blonde haired guy said snidely.

“I guess you’re gonna leave it. Should’ve taken it when you had the chance,” Guardian says, gazing at the man. His eyes begin to glow.

The blonde haired guy starts to shuffle toward him with Sarah still captive when he noticed his knife is beginning to glow. He stops and looks at his knife, which is glowing more intensely. “What the…?” he said as he stared at his glowing knife. A few seconds later a charge of electricity courses through the knife, electrocuting his hand causing him to drop it.

“See. Told ya so,” Guardian said. Afterward, his eyes stop glowing. He was about to approach the blonde haired guy when Sarah decides to take matters in to her own hands. She elbows her captor hard in his stomach and then strikes him in his chin with her knee; then she quickly palm punches him in his nose and kicks him in his groin hard. The blonde haired guy drops to his knees while holding his groin and then looks up at Sarah. “So…I guess this means our date’s off,” he said smiling weakly. Sarah grabs him by his head and hits him hard between his eyes with her knee. “Guess so,” The blonde haired guy said wobbly and then collapses to the ground.

“Nicely done,” says Guardian. Sarah had forgotten about her savior for a moment. She turns toward him. “Well it looks like you really didn’t need my help after all.”

“Yeah, um, I took a few judo classes when I was younger,” said Sarah.

“It looks like it paid off,” Guardian said as he walked over to her.

“Yeah, I guess it did,” Sarah said nervously excited, “Wow, so you’re…you’re really him. You’re the Guardian.”

“That’s what everyone says,” Guardian said. “But really. It’s just Guardian.” They exchanged glances for a moment. “If you don’t mind, I got some trash to clean up.” Guardian shot out before he became too distracted.

“Oh yeah. I’m-I’m sorry.” Sarah was as giddy as a school girl. She almost felt like she was meeting a celebrity.

Sarah makes a couple of attempts to get a look at Guardian’s face as he walked past her and over to the blonde haired guy. But his hat still made it difficult to make out his features. Sarah’s curiously looks at him as he kneels down next to the blonde haired guy who is still unconscious. She slowly approaches him hoping to get a better look at his face. “I’ll wrap up these guys here. Leave a nice little present for the police,” Guardian said aloud which startled Sarah, “I think you should make your way home. It’s getting kind of late.”

“Um, yeah maybe I should,” Sarah said with a smile.

“Just stay away from dark alleys, ok,” said Guardian as he turned his head and looked at her with a smile.

“Well thanks for saving me and everything,” Sarah said as she started to walk toward the alley’s entrance.

“You’re welcome,” said Guardian.

“Well, good-bye,” said Sarah kindly.

Guardian doesn’t respond as he walks over to Boa and kneels down next him. Sarah exits the alley and walks down 4th Street continuing her way home. As Sarah walked down the street, Guardian was peeking around the corner watching her. Once she was out of sight, he went back in the alley and began removing money from each of the gang members’ pockets. “I really don’t like doing this but I got to make a living somehow. Besides you probably weren’t going to use for anything good anyway. At least I’ll make good use of it such as paying my rent,” he said. He takes the last of the gang members’ money and was about to leave when he noticed the two Spanish gang members’ whips lying on the ground. He picks up one of them and examines it. “Hmm, they seem to be made of light-weight leather with metallic fibers woven into it. Even the stitching is composed of metal fibers.” Guardian then picks up the other whip and sees that that whip has metallic fibers in it as well. “These may come in handy. Thanks guys.” He takes the whips and flies up into the air and heads toward his home in the Doral II apartment building.
