
Bust out your Cracker Jack prize rings and dome helmets! MGM Studios and Mel Brooks have announced the sequel to the cult classic film Spaceballs is forthcoming! According to Deadline Hollywood, the original cast of Bill Pullman, Daphne Zuniga and Rick Moranis will be reprising their roles of Long Starr, Vespa and Dark Helmet, respectively. Joining them will be Pullman’s son Lewis Pullman who will portray the son of Lone Star and Vespa named Starburst, and Keke Palmer as new character Destiny. Mel Brooks himself will return as Yogart. The film will be directed by Josh Gad along with Brooks and is slated for release in 2027, likely to coincide with 40th anniversary of the original film.
