First Mewtwo gets a second Mega-Evolution and wow’s us all, but now Charizard too? I’m a little thrown off.
It’s very cool that these pokemon get two different Mega-Forms, but there are probably over 200 pokemon in the game that are fully evolved forms, like Charizard, or don’t normally evolve at all, like Absol. So far we’ve only seen about eight or nine different Pokemon that have the ability to Mega Evolve. So why are you showing us more Charizard and not Mega Magmar or Mega Jynx!? Lol… I wanna see Mega Jynx! or Mega Mr. Mime for that matter. Who knows, perhaps Nintendo will blow our minds with the game’s release and give us Mega versions of every pokemon since red and blue version. However, with the game’s release in ten days, I’m getting a bit skeptical.
Whatever the case, lets talk about Mega Charizard X and Y.
To get your Charizard to temporarily reach it’s new black and blue Mega Form, you must apply Charizardite X, only available in Pokemon X. Where Mega Charizard Y’s evolution greatly increases its SP attack, X gets a straight-up attack boost. Y’s ability becomes Drought and it learns the powerful Blast Burn skill. X’s ability is Tough Claws and its skill is Dragon Tail, hitting enemies so hard they switch out in battle.
I hope this mean Blastoise and Venusaur also get two Mega-forms. The current one’s don’t really impress me.
