Now…initially, this got me a bit hype because it’s two notable names in zombie shooters doing a collaboration together. However, upon checking into things, I felt a bit differently about things. I’ll let you be the judge of it.

Capcom and Valve are teaming up to bring the Resident Evil 6 X Left 4 Dead 2 project. This crossover project will have characters from Left 4 Dead 2 featured exclusively in the PC release of Resident Evil 6 while enemies from Resident Evil 6 will invade the PC version of Left 4 Dead 2. All content will be made available completely free for fans of either game to access and play.
So what does that mean? It means that RE6 owners will be able to play as one of the four cast members of Left 4 Dead 2 in the PC exclusive mode: The Mercenaries No Mercy. Each character will have their own special customized weapon load-out created for RE6. Also, two of the most notable Special Infected – The Witch and Mini Tank – will also be enemies in this mode. This content will be available to RE6 owners on April 6.
Left 4 Dead 2 owners will have it a bit differently. The Lepotitsa, Napad and Ogroman, Resident Evil 6’s most fearsome enemies, are included in the lineup of baddies you have to fight in the game. That will be available this spring.
Personally…it’s kind of a letdown in my eyes b/c I’d enjoy a true crossover between the two companies, however I think that this will be an interesting take on things.
