J1sters, we finally have a trailer! After she was announced, we have been waiting for our favorite Blind Bandit to take the stage and join Aang and company on their adventure to help the Avatar learn the elements and stop the Fire Nation. Netflix has dropped the teaser trailer for the next season of Avatar: The Last Airbender. This trailer is exactly what it needs to be – a quick glimpse at what’s to come and nothing more. It is short and sweet, just like Toph.
Okay, let’s take care of the elephant in the room. When Gordon Cormier was cast as Aang in 2021, he was the proper age (11 y.o.) of him at the time and had turned 12 when filming for the first season wrapped in 2022. Unlike cartoon characters, humans age and thus, we will have a teenage Aang for the second and third since Cormier himself is 16 y.o. This also the reason why both seasons were filmed back-to-back. Now, let’s talk about Toph. Again, the costume crew nail it with her outfit. It looks the way it is supposed to be and transitions well to live action from animation. I am excited for this, and I cannot wait for the official trailer to come out. Netflix killed it with the first season. Hopefully, they can catch lightning again with the next one!
