Stranger things are happening in IT: Welcome to Derry Ep. 6!! *Spoiler Free Review*

Pennywise shows why he is one of the most powerful entities in horror movies.

Welcome back to Derry, the creepiest little town you never want to visit after dark! “It: Welcome to Derry” Episode 6 is here, and it’s a rollercoaster of chills, thrills, and just enough goosebumps to keep you clutching your popcorn. In this review, we’ll dive headfirst into the fright fest and see what makes this episode a scream—sometimes literally!

We pick up with our gang trying their best not to freak out after the last episode’s nightmare fuel. Derry is in full-on panic mode as oddball happenings crank up to eleven, and the brave (or maybe just unlucky) protagonists are forced to face both their emotional baggage and the monstrous menace lurking below. The episode keeps things moving with a fun mix of jump-scares, heartfelt moments, and enough weirdness to make you check your own basement… just in case.

Hated at first, Marge (Matilda Lawler, right) has moved up in the ranks, making her a likeable character.

Let’s talk vibes! Episode 6 cranks up the spook-o-meter with shadowy alleys, flickering lights, and a color palette that screams “something terrible is about to happen!” Every corner could hide a red balloon, and reflections in shop windows might reveal more than you bargained for. It’s a visual treat—a haunted carnival for the eyes—that’s as fun to look at as it is to be terrified by.

This episode hands out character moments like Halloween candy. Secrets spill, friendships are tested, and we really get to see what makes each member of the crew tick (and sometimes tremble). The residents of Derry aren’t just running from monsters — they’re facing their own fears and sometimes being brave means sharing a scared laugh with your friends. The performances are heartfelt, occasionally hilarious, and sometimes so real you’ll want to give these folks a (socially distanced) hug.

In one of the best reveals, Ingrid Kersh (Madeline Stowe) is the daughter of Bob Gray who was Pennywise the Dancing Clown for the carnival until the evil entity in Derry took his form. Seen as an ally at first, she has orchestrated Lilly Bainbridge’s search for the dark force in Derry from the beginning.

Pennywise might not always be on screen, but let’s be honest—you never really know when that sinister smile will pop up. Episode 6 plays a wicked game of “Where’s Pennywise?” making every shadow a potential hiding place. The suspense is fun and freaky, and every clown cameo is a showstopper guaranteed to make you jump (or at least spill your soda). The episode also boasts one of the biggest reveals in a series. You still won’t believe it even with the evidence in front of you.

Don’t worry—there’s more here than just scary clowns. The episode dives into the big stuff: growing up, facing what haunts you, and realizing that sometimes the scariest things are the secrets you keep. Flashbacks, clever nods to Stephen King’s world, and new twists keep the story fresh and give you plenty to ponder between shrieks.

Overall, if you’re looking for a good scare with a side of fun, Episode 6 delivers in spades. “It: Welcome to Derry” keeps the horror lively, the friendships real, and the surprises coming. This episode is a spooky, silly, heartfelt reminder why we love a good scare—just remember to leave the lights on when you watch!
