Dark Shadows!! Sleepy Hollow S3 Ep.2 Recap!!

Pandora unleashes a shadow demon upon Sleepy Hollow. Abbie and Crane are called to the museum to investigate the death of an FBI agent. Daniel Reynolds arrives as Abbie’s commanding officer. Crane and Abbie return to the archives to investigate the creature after Crane catches a glimpse of it on a building across the street. Abbie manages to pull up the last cell phone call by the agent Paul Everett. Crane learns that the creature is a wraith. He tells the story of how the wraith came to be. Elsewhere, Jenny meets with August Corbin’s son Joey. Crane and Abbie head over to the home Richard Williams. The wraith is there as well. It attacks Abbie and Crane before going after Williams who attempts to flee, causing him to crash his car into a tree. Returning to the archives, they learn of a third party involved in an embezzlement scandal. Ichabod also reveals that the wraith will now target them since they discovered the secret. They find the secretary Susan James and take her to a safe place. The wraith soon arrives and Crane confronts it, calling out the name Marcus Collins. This causes the wraith to lose power, allowing Crane the opportunity to kill it. Meanwhile, Jenny encounters a man named Randall with whom she has history. She gives Randall, who has Joey captive, an item called the Shard of Anubis. After settling the case with Agent Reynolds, Abbie and Crane discover the identity of the new threat in Sleepy Hollow.

Nothing much happened on this season between Abigail and Crane with the exception of the introduction of new characters. Abbie gets a new boss in the form of Daniel Reynolds with whom she has had a relationship with back when they were FBI recruits. However unlike Washington Irving, Daniel isn’t as tightly wound as Irving. Also arriving Sleepy Hollow is the son of former sheriff August Corbin, Joey Corbin. He seeks out Jennifer Mills and wishes to continue his father’s work in the supernatural. Jenny does not allow Joey in, fearing that he may suffer the same fate as his late father. But eventually Joey does convince Jenny to allow him to help her hunt for the mystic relics. So basically he replaced Nick Hawley as the relic hunter. Unlike Hawley, Joey is in it for the pure interest rather than financial gain.
