Quick question, Gamers and Gamettes: what is the longest you have ever played a game? How many hours did you put into it?
30 hours?
25 hours?
We all know RPGs can rack up a lot of hours with all the side quests and character building and mini games. However, we eventually beat the final boss and complete the game. But suppose you log in a week’s worth of gameplay and have yet to see the final credits roll. That is the current fate of one developer at CD Projekt RED. Lukasz Babiel is a QA lead on Cyberpunk 2077 who logged in 175 hours of gameplay in sci-fi action title and still hasn’t reached the game’s end. He posted his progress on Twitter in his own “How it started / How it’s going” meme which is still trending.

Any concerns about Cyberpunk 2077 having a short main storyline can effectively be throw out the window…out a house near a 1000 foot cliff. According to Game Informer, it took four hours just to get to the beginning credits off he adventure when they got their first hands-on experience with Cyberpunk 2077. Some stated that it took 6 hours. And this is JUST the beginning of the game.
Tell me Gamers and Gamettes, what do think about games with this kind of log time? Is this a good thing to keep players interested or a bad thing where players can eventually get bored?
