“What if every conspiracy that existed was true and what if the people who these conspiracies targeted were the only ones who could stop them?”

Enter The Dark Skull 418 (Abbreviated DS418) the worlds most Dangerous Comic book Novel written and Illustrated by Aseer The Duke of Tiers artist, musician, scholar and all around Renaissance man. The Duke has loaded this 500+ (Yeah that’s a lot) page novel with a density of information that could and would best the most well mapped out crossover either of the big two could muster. This is an ensemble cast so there are a number of folks to get attached to. Those that struck me most were Wisdom Woman a former singer whose power allows her to will her body into any state, the All-Nighter a ex-boxer turned vigilante with the ability to kill with a punch among other things and Mid-N8te man an ex-solider, ex-freedom fighter ex-janitor (a lot of
experience here) who dishes out more violence than Midnighter and Rorschach combined.

The gist of the story besides the quote is that a group of organizations that have been keeping the world in a strangle hold begin to lose their grip when a young music mogul and philanthropist discovers a golden skull in a sky fortress. (Note this story was written years before the New 52 reboot.) This find breeds a new generation of powered heroes called M active’s on their earth and what ensues is a battle for the this universe and the next to come. There are so many good things in this book (500+ pages worth) and to call this a piece purely about superheroes wouldn’t do it justice. Suffice to say it’s jam packed with awesome including Illustrations and Bios of the main characters, as well as a preview into the Duke’s next offering the Atheopian Spy Bibles and the Peerless Three. I’d say more but there’s so much and I’m not a fan of spoiling but I will give you my two cents and tell you to go out and buy this comic. I give the DS418 a 5 out of 5
