Female centric Star Wars series in the works at Disney+!!

What’s up, J1 Fans? Got some news from a galaxy far, far away. According to reports from Variety, there is a female centric Star Wars series in the works over at Disney+. The new series is coming from the mind of Leslye Headland, the co-creator, showrunner and executive producer of the critically acclaimed Netflix show “Russian Doll.”

Details of the series are being kept under lock and key, but the focus is rumored to be centered on a female fronted series set in a different part of the Star Wars timeline from other projects. However, neither Disney or Headland have said anything about the series.

In other Star Wars news, The Mandalorian is currently in production for its third season ahead of the second season premiere. The shows had proven to be a hit with Star Wars fans when it launched as a forerunner for Disney+ in November 2019. Disney+ also has an Obi-Wan Kenobi series starring Ewan McGregor and a Rogue One prequel series in the works.
