Masami Obari, director and character designer, expressed interest in creating a new Fatal Fury anime. He recently posted the above sketch of fan favorite Mai Shiranui on his Twitter account, stating that he love to return to the series using the tools available today. Obari served as director of “Fatal Fury: The Movie” as well as the other films in the trilogy. Already, fans are excited about the idea liking the tweet more than 2,000 times and leaving more than a 1,000 comments. This illustrates that the fan base is still out there and are likely ready for more adventures with Terry, Andy, Joe and Mai.
