What’s up, J1sters!

The latest trailer for the upcoming CG series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness was released this morning during the Resident Evil’s 25th Anniversary Showcase along with the release date and lead staff.

Premise: The series takes place in 2006 after a hacking incident is uncovered at the White House. Leon Kennedy was ordered to investigate the incident, but he gets attacked by zombies. He later meets Claire, who’s been checking a strange drawing made by a child refugee while working on a Terrasave-led mission to oversee construction of a welfare facility.

Eiichiro Hasumi will be directing the CG anime series in his first directorial role for a CG anime after directing live-action films Umizaru and the Assassination Classroom. Hasumi said that “although this is a full CG anime, I tried my best to make it feel more like a live-action film by using camerawork and lighting techniques that come as close as possible to what I usually do in live-action.” Hasumi is working on the series at Quebico with TMS Entertainment producing.
