TV anime announced for high school romance comedy “Nande Koko ni Sensei ga?!”

Love comedy manga series Nande Koko ni Sensei ga?/Why the hell are you here, teacher?! is officially getting an anime adaption series. Created by Soborou, the series tells the story of male high school student Ichirō and his female teacher Kojima-sensei who’s famous for being a “demon teacher.” However, in front of Ichirō she seems to be air-headed and clumsy, and he keeps finding himself in perverted situations with her in places like the in men’s bathroom, in the men’s bathhouse, in the pool, at the school infirmary, and elsewhere.

The above visual was posted on the website for the anime, along with staff and main cast. The Nande Koko ni Sensei ga? TV anime will be directed by Hiraku Kaneko, who is known for working on female-oriented anime series including The Qwaser of Stigmata (2010-2011), Manyu Hiken-chou (2011), and Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid (2015). He also serves as general director at Tear Studios who will be handling animation. Kazuhiko Tamura (Kiss Him, Not Me) is designing the characters.

Sumire Uesaka (Sanae Dekomori in Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions) is cast as the main heroine Kana
Kojima, while Ryota Suzuki (Yuuga Ohtas in Doreiku The Animation) voices her love interest Ichiro Sato.

Nande Koko ni Sensei ga!? is a manga series written and illustrated by Soborou. The series was initially published in Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine as a series of one-shots under the title Golden Times. It began serialization in the same magazine in 2016. Volume five is set to release in Japan on October 5.

As of now, a launch date for the TV anime has yet to be revealed.
