Gainax West announced plans for a revival of Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt. A little while ago, Hirokazu Kojima, director and animator for the opening sequence, returned to Panty and Stocking with hug pillows featuring the raunchy angels. He posted on his Twitter page a silhouette of two familiar figures. So, does this mean that we will get a new season? At the moment, there is nothing solid. Gainax West has teased about follow-ups to the 2010 series being “not pachinko. Not a pachislot. Not a social network game. Not Blu-ray.” What we are getting (hopefully for the time being) is merch. MS Factory, who are releasing the hug pillows, are also releasing Panty and Stocking keychains and clearflies. What Gainax does have is a plan to set in motion that “could” spark a revival. Only time will tell when we get to see the angels misbehaving again.
