Well, that didn’t take long. After revealing their new production studio, Sony reveals that one of the first projects PlayStation Productions will be working on is a TV series based on Twisted Metal. Tony Vinciquerra, Sony Pictures Entertainment chairman and CEO, confirmed that PlayStation Productions landed a deal for the series. Vinciquerra tells IGN, “We have a TV show we just agreed to get underway that will be developed from the IP on PlayStation, it’s called Twisted Metal.” He also adds, “It’s a game that was put out many years ago and we’re going to develop a TV series around that.”
Also, an Uncharted movie could be coming to fruition. The movie is said to be in “advanced development” and that 10 Cloverfield Lane director Dan Trachtenberg has been chosen to direct the film after Stranger Things director Shawn Levy stepped down from the project. There are no further details about Uncharted at this time.
