The incredible crossover title from Bandai Namco just got a major boost in spiritual pressure. According to the 31st issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, Rukia Kuchiki and Sosuke Aizen will be playable characters in the upcoming “Jump Force” game. Along with Ichigo Kurosaki, they will be featured in the game wearing their “Thousand Year Blood War” attire. The magazine also revealed a new Hong Kong stage. The following list thus far consists of: Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, Frieza and Goku. Death Note’s Light Yagami and Ryuk will also be in the game.
Bandai Namco describes Jump Force as:
Universes collide as legendary manga heroes and villains are transported to our reality. Massive battles fill epic locales as good and evil clashes, while humankind hangs in the balance.
Spike Chunsoft will be developing the game. They have worked on the previous crossover “J-Stars Victory VS+” which also featured characters from Shonen Jump Magazine. J-Stars was released in 2014 for the PlayStation Vita and PS3 in Japan before coming to the West in 2015 for those systems as well as the PlayStation 4. Spike Chunsoft was also behind the development of “One Piece: Burning Blood” which launched in 2016.
Jump Force was first revealed at E3 2018 featuring Goku, Naruto and Luffy taking on Frieza in New York’s famous Times Square. The game is set for launch in 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
