One can almost forget that a Monster Hunter movie is on its way. There have been no huge announcements or widespread reports about the project. As far as we know, director Paul W.S. Anderson will be spearheading the film with his wife Milla Jovanovic is the role of a character named Artemis whose detail are scant. The husband and wife duo have been behind the Resident Evil film franchise which has proven to be successful for Capcom which is why they have reached out to Anderson and Jovanovic for this project.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, rapper T.I. and actor Ron Perlman will be joining the cast. T.I. has recently appeared in “Ant-Man and the Wasp” as Dave, a member of Lang’s X-Con Security crew. He will play Link, a sniper from one of the non-Monster Hunter world aspect of the film. No introduction is needed for Ron Perlman. His 30+ year career stretches between the small and big screen. He is best known for the Hellboy film franchise, Blade II, and Pacific Rim. On television, he played the role of Vincent in the 1987-1990 series “Beauty and the Beast” and starred in the critically acclaimed FX series “Sons of Anarchy” and is known for his voice over work as the narrator of the post-apocalyptic game series Fallout, Clayface on Batman: The Animated Series, Slade on the animated series Teen Titans, The Lich on Adventure Time, and The Stabbington Brothers in Disney’s animated film Tangled (2010). Perlman will portray a character named Admiral, to whom THR referred to as the Hunter’s Crew. While details about the plot are scarce, production for Monster Hunter is set to begin in October.
