Marvel has dropped another trailer for the upcoming Ant-Man and Wasp movie. The movie fills in the gap of what happened to Scott Lang following the events of “Captain America: Civil War.” Set between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, Scott Lang, now under house arrest after the events of Civil War, tries to balance his home life as a father with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, when Hope van Dyne and Hank Pym present him with a new mission to bring to light secrets from their past, teaming up with Van Dyne as the new Wasp.
Ant-Man and the Wasp brings back the entire cast of the first film including Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly and Michael Douglas. Laurence Fishborne is cast to portray Bill Foster, who Marvel fans will know as Black Goliath. The new villain for the film will be Ghost, a criminal who gains the ability to phase through objects after stealing Pym technology. The character has been described as being male but Ghost’s gender was changed for Ant-Man and the Wasp. The team not only felt that this is creative, but determined that the gender was irrelevant to the character. Hannah John-Kamen (Ornela in the HBO series Game of Thrones and F’Nale Zandor in Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One) will portray this version of Ghost.
Ant-Man and the Wasp buzz into theaters July 6.
