Naruto, Bleach voice actor Michael Lindsay passes away

Sad news rocks the world of anime. Voice actor Michael Lindsay, who has portrayed Kankuro in Naruto, Kisuke Urahara in Bleach, Joe Kido and Greymon in Digimon Adventure among many others, has passed away. Fellow Digimon actor Joshua Seth shared his feelings on the passing of his friend.

Lindsay, who was born in 1963, entered the voice acting world in 1979 and has worked on a slew of anime shows from Akira to Code Geass to Zatch Bell. He also worked on Princess Miyu, Mobile Suit Gundam, Outlaw Star and Transformers: Robots in Disguise. He was sometimes credited as Dylan Tully. Lindsay has been absent from the anime community after he retired from acting in 2012 but remained a fan favorite. Most of his roles were recast to Doug Erholtz.

Michael Lindsay passed away on August 30. He was 56 years old.
