This ugly motherf—– is back! 20th Century Fox is reviving the Predator franchise for a second time. The new film is set to take place between Predator 2 (1990) and Predators (2010). The movie is directed and written by Shane Black, who had a supporting role in the original 1987 film. Robocop 3 co-writer Fred Dekker also wrote the script. Joel Silver, John Davis, and Lawrence Gordon all return as producers from the first two installments.
A young boy accidentally triggers the Predators to return to Earth. The universe’s most lethal hunters have genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. Only a crew of former soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can stop the hunters before anybody becomes their prey.
The Predator stars:
Boyd Holbrook (Donald Pierce in Logan) as Quinn McKenna, a former Marine and Special Forces commando who discovers the existence of the fierce Predators but finds that no one believes they exist.
Trevante Rhodes (Moonlight, Westworld) as Nebraska Williams, a former Marine who enlists in a special Predator-hunting operation headed up by Quinn, his best friend.
Jacob Tremblay as Rory McKenna, Emma and Quinn’s troubled son, who has a form of autism and is bullied in school but becomes a key player in the fight against the Predators due to his preternatural ability to learn languages.
Sterling K. Brown as a government agent who jails Quinn but later needs his help with fighting the Predators. Brown starred in the FX drama “The People vs. O.J. Simpson” and currently stars as Randall Pearson on the critically acclaimed ABC drama “This is Us.”
