Even though most films try to be different, John Wick 3: Parabellum doesn’t deviate from its well-received action based formula. The movie continues moments after John Wick Chapter 2 where John has been excommunicated by the assassin guild for killing [name] within the Continental Hotel, which is one of the sacred grounds where all assassins have sanctuary. Without any help from the guild John Wick now has to find a way to survive with a $14,000,000 bounty on his head as punishment for his “crime”.

From the start, the action shows that they aren’t afraid to be as over-the-top as possible. At times you can’t help but laugh at how ridiculously insane some of these fight scenes are. In the same style of the previous John Wick flicks, you will be so blown away thanks to such great stunt and fight choreography, which makes this series great. The acting was all around solid with fun performances by Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane, Mark Dacascos, Anjelica Huston, and Halle Berry, who with her dog companions undoubtedly stole the show.

Now some of the action scenes as you move along in the story seem a little slow in movement on Keanu’s part (or perhaps John’s), but if you think about it, because the film continues immediately after the second film it makes perfect sense for him to be worn down. The world of John Wick is becoming harder and harder to imagine progression into future films, because at what point does John Wick just become a super god of death? You know what? It doesn’t matter! With this movie such a crazy ride, John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum is an amazing addition to the John Wick franchise, a must see!
