Spyro the Dragon. The beloved purple fire spitter has burned his way into our hearts from his first outing on the original PlayStation back in 1998. Since then, he has appeared in two sequels on Sony freshman system and got a reboot for the trilogy that began on the PlayStation 2 and concluded on the PlayStation 3. With the 20th anniversary of Spyro hanging in the air, it would be nice to see him return for another adventure. And if the leaked screen shots have any truth to them, this could be possible.
Several pictures have already spread across the internet showing what could be the potential Spyro the Dragon Remaster game. With the proposed title of “Spyro: Reignited”, the game appeared for retail on
with a release date of September 21. As with all remastered titles, this will included updated versions of the original PlayStation trilogy titles. It should be noted that while the game doesn’t seem to appear any where else on Amazon’s other websites, it is confirmed that a remaster is in the works. According to
, the game is being developed by Vicarious Visions, the Activision-owned company behind Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, and is planned for release in September 2018 to coincide with Spyro’s 20th Anniversary. Believe me, your pal D13 will continue to follow up on this with the hope of Spyro returning to the main stream.
