The Philadelphia Asian Film Festival (which has been going on since the 12th of November), is hosting the FREE animation shorts on FRIDAY, November 20th at the Asian Art Initiative building located at 1219 Vine St, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19107 from 5pm – 6pm!
This FREE shorts program offers a diverse selection of animated shorts that stretch the limits of the imagination. Animaton styles include CGI, watercolor, ink, and claymation. Filmmakers expected in attendance for post-film Q&A.

A teenager falls in love with flying while learning to drive a car with her dad.

A short watercolor-animation film about different reasons and ways of waiting, dedicated to the animator’s friend, Simon, who passed away after a long, brave, and patient fight with a rare illness.
Director: Mohammed Zare | 15 mins
A claymation short inspired by Tim Burton’s poem of the same title about a lonely self aware pile of trash.
Program is FREE, but reservation is recommended to guarantee seating.
