Expendables 3 loses Willis and gains Harrison Ford!!

Sylvester Stallone announced today via Twitter that Harrison Ford will be joining the cast of Expendables 3. Apparently, Willis bowed out of the second sequel due to money issues according to Stallone. Willis had starred in the first two films as the mysterious Mr. Church and said that he will not returning for the third. Excited about Harrison Ford’s addition, Stallone tweeted:

WILLIS OUT… HARRISON FORD IN !!!! GREAT NEWS !!!!! Been waiting years for this!!!!

Then a few minutes later, Sly tweeted:

However, I wouldn’t get too excited just yet. Stallone had teased about Mel Gibson being handed the role of the movie’s villain. This is unconfirmed and the status of Gibson being to movie is in limbo. As an Indiana Jones fan, it would be exciting to see Harrison amongst the cast. He did an excellent job in Cowboys vs. Aliens and would a great addition. In addition to Ford, the third installment will feature Nicholas Cage, Wesley Snipes, Jackie Chan and Milla Jovovich. There has also been talk that the Expendables will face off against a group of young tech savvy mercenaries before facing a common foe. Twilight star Kellan Lutz is in negotiations for one of the roles. Director of the 2010 Australian-set western Red Hill Stephen Hughes is on hand for Expendables 3 and production is set to begin shortly. Lionsgate Films has announced that Expendables 3 will be in theatres August 15, 2014.

So what do y’all think about the cast?
