So who saw Edge of Tomorrow, the 2014 movie that was basically “Groundhog Day” meets “Starship Troopers”? Well then, you be delighted to hear that a possible sequel could be on its way. In an interview with Collider, director Doug Liman dropped the ball on the detail regarding the next film, including the title, which will definitely make you raise an eyebrow and cock your head to the side. Liman’s genius idea for the Edge of Tomorrow sequel is (wait for it) “Live. Die. Repeat and Repeat.” Take a moment to let that sink in. Alright, now Liman has also revealed that Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt will be reprising their roles from the first film. As of now, there is no release date set.

Edge of Tomorrow is adapted from the Japanese light novel “All You Need is Kill” written by Hiroshi Sakurazara. The film was released in 2014 and received critical acclaim despite the “lukewarm” reception at the box office.
