Dwayne Johnson reveals release date for Black Adam film!!

Finally we get a release date for Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam film. The WWE star turned Hollywood A-lister actor revealed on his Instagram page the date of the film’s release along with concept art of him as the DC character courtesy of Jim Lee and graphic artist BossLogic.

December 22, 2021 is when we finally get to Johnson in action as Black Adam. Black Adam was originally intended to appear as the main villain in the Shazam film; however, as production progressed the plan was changed and a different villain was utilized in favor of giving Black Adam his own film. The character was also supposed to be introduced in the sequel Suicide Squad film but that was before James Gunn joined to helm the project. Zachary Levi confirmed that Black Adam would not appear in the Shazam sequel. If these two are going to crossover, it would likely be in Black Adam.

Dwayne Johnson was confirmed for the role of Black Adam back in 2014. He says production of the film will begin in 2020, setting up to hit its December 22, 2021 target date.
