On Wednesday, Arc System Works announced that the open beta test for the latest entry in their “BlazBlue” series, BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle will open on May 9 and will run simultaneously in Japan and the US. Those who pre-ordered the game digitally will have access until May 12. Everyone else will be able to participate from May 12 to May 14. BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle open beta test will include twenty characters to use in four modes of play (Casual Lobby, Tactics Mode [Tutorial and Practice], and VS Mode). An offline demo will launch for the PS4 on May 14, featuring one playable character from each game. However, players who preordered the game will get access to the twenty characters.
BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle will launch for the Playstation 4 and Switch in Japan and Asia on May 31. An English dub of the game will hit North America on June 5. The game will be available in Standard for $49.99 and Deluxe Digital Edition that includes the main game and all six DLC packs for $69.99. Arc System Works America will also offer a Collector’s Edition which will include a special box, soundtrack CD, 52-page art book and four acrylic characters standees. No price has been revealed for the Collector’s Edition as of yet.
