The story of young hero on a quest for justice that captivated fans returns in a newly revamped edition. Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition takes us back to Terca Lumireis which uses an energy source called blastia for all its needs, including creating protective barriers around its cities. The story focuses on Yuri Lowell, a former Imperial soldier who forms a guild called Brave Vesperia to aid Estelle, a noble woman he encounters on a mission. As they explore the world, Brave Vesperia are challenged by factions who have different plans related to the abuse of blastia resources, and Yuri is forced to confront his friend and former comrade Flynn.
Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition features updated graphics, brand-new music tracks, exciting mini-games, bosses, and a collection of unreleased costume DLC. Two new characters will also be introduced in Yuri’s party. The game will also feature a new battle system with new Mystic Artes and skills.
The game launched for Xbox 360 in 2008 North America and Japan. Tales of Vesperia was well received by critics and described as “one of the best storylines” in the series. An expanded version was released for the PlayStation 3 in Japan, but it never came to the west. The “Definitive Edition” will include this expansion when it is released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Windows this Fall.
